The Bigger Picture: A New Traffic Plan For The Hoa Xuan Bridge Works

If you drive near the Hoa Xuan bridge, the roads there will change. The city will build a new junction where Le Thanh Nghi, Cach Mang Thang Tam and Thang Long meet the road up to the bridge.

On 7 October the city's construction department said it had agreed the main points of a plan to move traffic around the works. The project board must still finish the plan and approve it.

Under the plan, container trucks will be sent another way, from highway 14B through highway 1 to Nam Ky Khoi Nghia.

Parking will be banned on Nguyen Huu Tho, between Cach Mang Thang Tam and Le Dai Hanh.

The new routes will be tried for one week before the building work starts, with more cameras watching the traffic. The project board must announce the routes in the media. The announcement on 7 October gave no start date.
