What we collect, and why.

Life of Da Nang runs this site. We are a city guide for Da Nang.

The only way to reach us here is the contact form.

We count visits with two tools: Google Analytics 4 and Ahrefs Web Analytics.

Google Analytics puts cookies on your device. It records the pages you open, your country and the type of device you use.

It also counts taps. On place pages, we count taps on buttons like Call, Directions and Instagram. On event pages, we count taps on event links and use of the event filters. We do this so we can tell a place how many people came to it from us.

We also count taps on the links to join our WhatsApp community or channel, and each time a form is sent. That count does not include what you typed.

Ahrefs counts visits without cookies.

We use the counts to see which pages and events people use. We do not sell them. We do not share them with anyone else. Google and Ahrefs keep the counts on their own servers.

This site has three forms.

• The newsletter sign up. You type your email.
• The event form. You type the event name, venue, date, time, price, link, organiser, a contact and details.
• The contact form. You type your name, your business name, your email and your message.

What you type goes to Formspree, a form service, and from there to Life of Da Nang. Formspree keeps a copy on its servers. You can read its rules on the Formspree privacy page.

We use what you send only to answer you, to list your event, or to send the newsletter.

Our WhatsApp community and channel are on WhatsApp, not on this site. When you join, WhatsApp's own rules apply.

We see what WhatsApp shows to anyone who runs a group.

The opening logo animation plays once per visit. To remember that, the site saves one small flag in your browser. It goes away when you close the tab.

Google Analytics also saves cookies, as written above.

This site has no login, no account, no payment and no personal profile.

Vercel serves this site. Vercel keeps standard server logs for a short time. They show your IP address, the time and the page you opened. This is for security.

The fonts come from our own site, not from Google.

This site links to place websites, Instagram, Google Maps, ticket pages and event organisers. Their pages follow their own rules, not this page.

• Block cookies in your browser. The site works without them.
• Use a browser that blocks analytics.
• Do not fill in the forms.
• Leave our WhatsApp community or channel at any time.

You can ask to see or delete what you sent through a form. You can also ask to be taken off the newsletter.

Write to us through the contact form and say what you sent. We delete it from Formspree and from our files, usually within 14 days.

This site is for adults who plan nights out and events. We do not knowingly collect anything from children.

We update this page when the site changes. The date at the top is the last change.
