Every other museum asks you to look and not touch. This one is built the opposite way round. The paintings are made so that a person standing in the right spot becomes part of them, and until somebody stands there the picture is not finished.

It opened in July 2017, the first 3D art museum in Da Nang. It covers more than four thousand square metres, in nine rooms, with over a hundred and thirty works painted by nearly twenty artists from South Korea.

Some of it is the trick art you would expect, a wave you appear to be surfing, a shell on the sea floor with a person inside it. Some of it is not. There is a room of hanging lanterns doubled by a mirrored floor that goes on further than the building should allow, and a waterfall lit so it looks like it is falling in the dark.

It is entirely indoors, every room of it. Between September and November that stops being a detail and becomes the reason: this is somewhere a whole afternoon can go when it is coming down outside and nobody wants to sit in another cafe.
