For Tết, state offices close for seven days: five holiday days plus two weekend days moved. Companies give at least five days and choose one of three patterns.
National Day is Thursday 2 and Friday 3 September, which with the weekend makes four days off, 2 to 5 September.
When a holiday falls on a weekend, workers get the next working day off instead. Hùng Kings Day follows the lunar calendar: the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month, which in 2027 is 16 April.
