From October to March the wind comes from the north east, and the city government says this wind often brings storms and heavy rain. Big storms usually come from September to November. Sometimes it turns very cold in December, January or February, but not for long.
At sea, big waves usually come from September to March. Until 14 March 2027, lifeguards are on the beaches from 5am to 6:30pm. From October to February the visiting routes on the Son Tra peninsula close one hour earlier than in the rest of the year.
