The Club

Padel is squash and tennis crossed, played in doubles inside a glass box, and until recently there was nowhere in Da Nang to play it. Padel Xtra is the city's first club built for it. What is actually interesting is everything that is not a court. Two padel courts and two pickleball courts, and around them a restaurant, a coffee shop, a workspace, a kids playground and a pro shop. Nobody builds all of that for two courts unless the point was never really the courts. Their own words are that they are fostering a community, and that is the honest description. They run beginner lessons, open play sessions where you turn up without a partner, competitions, kids camps and private events. You can arrive alone and leave having played with four people you had not met. Courts are booked through the Padel Mates app. Open seven in the morning until ten at night, every day.
