Hanh & Ken
Home-style Vietnamese, cooked fresh every morning by the couple who own the place.
Ken & Hanh
Ken from New York.Hanh from Saigon. One small kitchen, cooking for you like family.
Hanh & Ken is a small, warm Vietnamese restaurant in An Thuong, run by the husband-and-wife couple it is named after. Ken grew up in upstate New York, Hanh grew up in Saigon, and they met in Singapore in 2012. They fell in love, made Da Nang their home, and have cooked here together since 2019. Every morning Hanh goes to the market for the freshest food of the day, and everything is made from scratch in their own kitchen, that same day. The room is soft and homey, a little green shopfront with glowing Hoi An silk lanterns, and you eat like a guest in their home. The banh xeo is the dish people remember, the chicken fried noodles is the one they order most, and there are fresh and fried spring rolls, grilled platters, and noodle bowls with grilled pork. Open from 11am to 9pm every day, often later. One real heads-up: they take cash only.

Made Fresh, Every Morning
Ken from New York. Hanh from Saigon. One small kitchen in An Thuong.
Every morning Hanh goes to the market for the freshest food of the day. Nothing sits in a freezer. Everything is cooked from scratch, that same day, in their kitchen. That is why it tastes like home and not like a tourist spot.

The Banh Xeo
Crispy, golden, and made to wrap by hand.
Banh xeo is the crispy yellow pancake you fold into fresh greens and wrap by hand. It comes hot, it crackles, and you eat it with your fingers. This is the dish people remember.

Chicken Fried Noodles
Their most popular plate. Soft noodles fried with chicken and vegetables, simple and full of flavour, the one almost everyone orders.

Rolls, Bowls & Grills
Fresh and fried spring rolls, noodle bowls with grilled pork and seafood, grilled platters, and morning glory with garlic. Real home cooking, made fresh that day.
The Room
Green shopfront, silk lanterns, a table that feels like home.
A small green shopfront, soft Hoi An silk lanterns, and the two of them in the kitchen. It is warm, it is quiet, and it feels like sitting at a friend's table.
