The Room
Bien means sea. There is a painted one on the wall, which is as close to it as this room gets. The cheesecakes are the reason people come back. There is a matcha basque, a classic burnt basque, and a blueberry one on a dark biscuit base. But this is not only a cake shop. The kitchen also sends out a proper lunch: banh mi packed with minced pork and egg, a shrimp omelette bright with chilli and coriander, rice plates with a fried egg on top. Open from 10am to 5pm, closed on Tuesday, so it is a daytime place, made for a slow afternoon.

The Cheesecakes
Matcha basque, classic burnt basque, and blueberry on a dark biscuit base. Baked in house and cut thick.

A Real Lunch
Banh mi with minced pork and egg, shrimp omelette with chilli and coriander, and rice plates. Proper food, not just something to go with coffee.

Quiet enough to sit for an hour. It shuts at five, so this is a daytime room and not an evening one.
